When viewing your PostScan Mail inbox, you’ll notice various icons next to your mail items. Each icon represents the type and status of the item. Here’s a breakdown to help you understand what each icon means:



Mail Envelope Icon

  • Indicates a mail letter or envelope.
  • The item has not been opened or scanned.
  • It is physically at the location and may be accumulating storage fees.
  • Available actions: Recycle, Open & Scan, Forward.


Opened Mail Envelope Icon

  • Indicates a mail letter or envelope that has been opened and scanned.
  • The scanned contents are uploaded to your account.
  • It is still physically at the location and may be accumulating storage fees.
  • Available actions: Recycle, Forward.


Scanned Content Icon

  • Shows that the item has been opened and scanned, or has been forwarded.
  • If not forwarded, the physical item has been recycled.
  • No longer accumulates storage fees.
  • Available actions: View scanned content.


Package Icon

  • Represents a package currently at the location.
  • Not available for Open & Scan.
  • Available actions: Recycle, Forward.
  • May be accumulating storage fees.


Magazine Icon

  • Indicates a magazine at the location.
  • Not available for Open & Scan.
  • Available actions: Recycle, Forward.
  • May be accumulating storage fees.


Postcard Icon

  • Represents a postcard currently at the location.
  • Not available for Open & Scan.
  • Available actions: Recycle, Forward.
  • May be accumulating storage fees.
