🔁 Reverting Your USPS Mail Forwarding to Your Home Address
If you previously submitted a USPS Change of Address (COA) request to forward your mail to your PostScan Mail address, and now wish to begin receiving mail at your home address again, here’s how to revert the change.
🧾 Step 1: Use the USPS Confirmation Code (If Available)
- Locate the confirmation code from your original Change of Address request.
- If submitted online: The code will be in your confirmation email.
- If submitted in person: The code will be in the confirmation letter mailed to you.
- Visit the USPS Change of Address Page and use the code to cancel or modify the COA.
📋 Step 2: If You Don’t Have the Confirmation Code
- Fill out USPS Form 3546 – Official Change/Correction to Mail Forwarding Change of Address Order
- You’ll need to complete this in person at your local post office with:
- Two forms of valid identification
💡 What to Expect:
- Ask to speak with the postal inspector, postmaster, or on-duty supervisor.
- Request Form 3546 and present your 2 forms of ID.
- When filling out the form, you will need to input your home address.
- After a 2-week period, you may then submit a new COA request to a different address if needed.
- Once active, your home address will begin receiving mail again — you’ll know it’s working when the yellow COA sticker appears on your envelopes.
📌 Note: USPS processing may take up to 1 month, depending on your post office’s internal policies.
