How do I begin receiving mail at my home address if I want to cancel my subscription?
If you filled out a Change of Address (Mail Forwarding) request to reroute your mail to your PostScan Mail address and would like to begin receiving mail at your home address, you will need to revert your change of address with the code provided by the USPS (United States Postal Service) in your change of address confirmation. This code could be found in your email if you signed up online, and inside a letter you would have received from USPS.
If you do not have this code, you may fill out form 3546, Official Change/Correction to Mail Forwarding Change of Address Order, for the USPS to cancel or change your original mail forwarding order. Please allow the USPS two weeks for the form to be processed to ensure that none of your mail is lost in the transition. Once you begin receiving mail at your home address, your address is reinstated with the yellow change of address sticker affixed to your mail envelope.
Please follow the steps in filling out 3546 at your local post office:
To have mail forwarded to your new address, you will need to go to the post office in person with 2 forms of ID and do the following:
- Request to speak with the postal inspector. If not available, you can also speak with the postmaster or on-duty supervisor.
- You will need to ask for form 3546; they will request to see your 2 forms of ID.
- When filling the form out you will need to input a home address. After 2 weeks, you will be able to submit a change of address to the address you wish to use.
If you did not use mail forwarding with USPS, you will need to update all your current mail senders of your new mailing address. Unfortunately, due to USPS regulations, you are not be able to create a mail forwarding request from your PostScan Mail address to another address of your choosing as we are a CMRA (Commerical Mail Receiving Agency). You may request mail "Forwarding" through the PostScan mail app or web portal if you wish for your mail in your inbox to be delivered to another address.
