What’s the difference between adding a User and adding a Recipient?

Both users and recipients will use the same address to receive mail and both require a notarized USPS Form 1583 (Postal Consent Form). Below are the main differences between users and recipients:

Recipients
  • Receive the mail in one mailbox
  • Share login credentials
Users
  • Mail is kept separate between User Accounts
  • Users get their own login credentials

NOTE: Aside from the primary account owner, another person or business listed cannot be added as a user and recipient at the same time.

Regardless of the role, a user or recipient would need to complete their own USPS Form 1583, get it notarized, submit it with their IDs to be verified, and start using the address to receive mail.

Please note that any mail received before the USPS Form 1583 is completed and approved is at risk of not being uploaded and returned to the sender.
