What is “Consolidation”?

📦 Consolidation Request Process

A consolidation request lets you combine multiple mail items into a single shipment, helping reduce shipping costs and streamline delivery.

🔄 How It Works

When you submit a consolidation request:

  1. Our operator physically gathers the selected mail items.
  2. Items are repackaged into one consolidated shipment.
  3. New dimensions, weight, and material costs (e.g., boxes or envelopes) are calculated.
  4. Final shipping costs are determined and updated in your account when you process a shipment request.

🚚 Shipping Criteria

  • Items under 13 oz (Envelopes Only):
    • If the combined weight is under 13 oz and contains only envelopes, the items can be consolidated and shipped in one step.
  • Items over 13 oz or Mixed Contents (Envelopes + Packages):
    • If the total exceeds 13 oz or includes both envelopes and packages, they must first be consolidated, and then a separate shipping request must be submitted.

📬 After Consolidation

Once your consolidation request is complete:

  • A new mail item will appear in your inbox labeled “Ready for Shipment.”
  • You can then select the consolidated item and click “Ship” to initiate shipping.
