What is “Consolidation”?

Consolidation Request Process

A consolidation request allows you to repackage multiple mail items into a single shipment, reducing shipping costs and improving efficiency.

When you submit a consolidation request, our operator will physically gather the items you’ve selected for consolidation, repackage them into a single shipment, and calculate the new dimensions, weight, and material costs (e.g., boxes, large envelopes). These details, including the shipping costs, will then be updated in the system.

Shipping Criteria:

  1. Items under 13 oz (envelopes only): If the consolidated items weigh less than 13 oz and consist solely of envelopes, they can be consolidated and shipped in one step.
  2. Items over 13 oz or mixed contents (envelopes and packages): If the total weight exceeds 13 oz or the consolidation includes both envelopes and packages, the items must first be consolidated before they can be shipped.

Once the consolidation is complete, a new mail item will appear in your inbox, labeled as “Ready for Shipment.” You can then request shipping by selecting the consolidated item and clicking the “Ship” option.
